![]() ![]() – so many people are yelling, this game is dead DARKFALL UNHOLY WARS STEAM CHRATS PATCHdarkfall markets, darkfall unholy wars patch notes, patch notes, tasos Leave a comment Truth about Forumfall #4 – epic rant by Pronwan Tomorrow, I’ll be posting details on the Markets and the changes to the village system, prepared by our designers, who will explain everything we have to look forward to and the impact these additions will have on the game, as well as the reasoning behind them. We’ll try to improve our presentation on new features, as well as improve player-developer interaction on features to come. At the same time, a lot of design and development work has gone into each and every one of these additions to the game, which in turn is a lot of insight we could have shared with our players. Since launching Darkfall Unholy Wars, we have been so focused on issuing large patches as frequently as possible, almost every week, that unfortunately, most of the new features we’ve been patching in get no more mention than a bullet point in the patch notes. Due to the complexity of this new system we’ve come to an internal decision to launch it next Monday rather than the usual Friday for the purpose on being able to monitor it better for any issues.Īlong with the Markets there are a few more important and exciting gameplay changes, including villages becoming a pvp focal point and a clan meta game element. We have spent a lot of time testing this new system internally and we’re finally ready to launch it. DARKFALL UNHOLY WARS STEAM CHRATS UPDATEOur next patch features the Markets which is a huge update to the game and it affects every aspect of the economy, many of the game systems and will have a profound effect on how the game is being played for many players. I’d love to hear your feedback on the class or if you have anything to add. But they do become rather fabulous later on in the game. Ok, you might complain that the first 2 sets are the equivalent of running around in a brown sack, and hell, you’re right. I simply couldn’t play a character that had terrible combat animations. It might seem like a pretty inane part of the class, but I do like the casting animations and the spell animations. ![]() To beat an equally skilled warrior, I have to play perfectly. Without something challenging to play, this game probably wouldn’t have held my interest for so long. I’ve heard a lot of people complain about splash damage, but I kinda like the idea of a class that can damage itself by not being careful in what skills it uses and when. Water has some awesome spells for using at short-medium range in places like dungeons, and I guess ship combat too if you want to prevent a crew from escaping from a boat until your crew boards. Fire, for example, is great for sieges and sea combat – knocking people off walls and boats. I like that each of them has specific uses and purposes and that you have to switch between them dependent on what you intend on doing in the game. I like all the different trees at the moment. The things I love about being an elementalist. So many PVE mobs you need for feats are completely immune to all types of magic.I like the idea of glass canon, but it seems to be more glass than canon. I don’t do that much damage as other classes who have more HP, more movement and better armour.Guess this is both a primalist and elementalist whine – it would just make sense to give someone so utterly squishy some kind of short-burst movement speed increase. I have no movement speed increases like the other DPS classes.Sure, I can put strength boosters in for survivability, but why should I have to? Int is my main stat – it would make so much more sense (to me at least) to get HP from your main stat. The things I hate about being an elementalist. I always enjoyed being one of the squishies at the back, be it healing or throwing fire at people. I did start off on a warrior but it just isn’t my play-style. I have 3 boosters and some wisdom for when my clan needs me to go primalist, and even a few primalist skills bought. ![]() I was on vacation a few weeks which is why my blog posts came to an abrupt stop – haven’t had much time to throw in an update, until now. It wasn’t easy, but then, I didn’t expect it to be. I like that I’m at kind-of the PP level now where I can do whatever I like. Whether it be just to relax and craft / gather for a little bit or if I need some stress relief to go out roaming with my guild/alliance or focus on getting my PP up with some feats…. I like mood-specific games though, I like that I can do whatever I’m in the mood for at that time. One of the most difficult decisions I have to make on Darkfall every evening is deciding what to do. ![]()
